Engineer (Er.) Ho is currently the Senior Director for International Workplace Safety and Health with the Ministry of Manpower, Singapore. He holds the concurrent appointment of Vice Dean for the School Regulation under the Ministry of Manpower Academy.
Prior to these appointments, he was the Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health from 2015 to 2019. As Commissioner, he spearheaded the transformation of the work injury and ill health prevention culture in Singapore.
Er. Ho holds several positions in various organisations including President, International Association of Labour Inspectors (IALI), Chairperson, International Social Security Association (ISSA)’s International Section on Prevention in Trade, Goods Logistics and Port Handling or “ISSA Trade” in short, and Honorary Fellow of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, UK. He was President of the 21st World Congress on Safety and Health held in Singapore in 2017.
Mohamed Haniffa Ibrahim is the Senior Assistant Director (Fraud and Complex Investigation) Inspectorate Specialist Group. He has over 10 years of experience in WSH accident investigations and has investigated a number of high-profile fatal accidents in recent years. He was also part of the investigation team supporting the Stars Engrg Inquiry Committee.
Mato is a lawyer whose practice encompasses, advising and acting for both individuals and companies in complex civil and commercial litigation, white collar crime and regulatory offences and employment law. He has acted for clients in matters before the State Courts of Singapore and the Supreme Court of Singapore. Most recently, Mato represented a company involved in one of the first cases to be decided under the Workplace Safety and Health Act (WSHA) after the changes to the law from the seminal High Court decision in PP v Manta Equipment (S) Pte Ltd  SGHC 157.
Yusoff underwent and completed the intensive Driving Instructor Cadet Training, tested and certified by an independent qualified tester from the Singapore Traffic Police Authority. He has over 25 years of instructional driver coaching experience for both theory and practical training.
He is responsible in ensuring the smooth running of operations and high standards of professionalism and discipline of Driving Instructors. He delivered a series of defensive driving and road safety training courses for both private and government organizations in Singapore and represented the company as a Specialist Trainer in Professional Driver Training using the Driver Development Tool (DDT) for local and overseas corporate clients.
Suzaini is an accomplished Safety Professional with a vast experience of over 20 years primarily in heavy lifting for critical operations in the oil/petrochemical and construction industry involving construction of building, plant turnaround and maintenance.
His achievements also include as a Management Representative, where he spearheaded several of his organization group of companies to achieve and maintained ISO 9001:2015 & ISO45001:2018 certification for more than 10 years. A distinguished Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer for more than a decade and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (First Class Honours) in Mechanical Engineering – Teesside University.
Peter’s experience has been mainly revolving around safety and had contributed to safety performance in projects like DTSS, KPE, HDB, condominiums, factories, libraries, and laboratories since 2006. He was a member of the SS EN 13374 work group and a member of Singapore Roof Association.
His current role in MSA requires him to develop solutions on lifelines (VERTICAL, INCLINE AND HORIZONTAL) for international projects to protect workers exposed to work at height hazards.
Mr. P Muthukumar is the WSHE Manager at Straits Construction Singapore Pte Ltd, with more than 15 years of experience in Safety and he was also involved in SCAL safety committee and work groups. He has driven the projects with more than a decade of WSHE experience and mentored others towards achieving the best safety standards in construction projects. He has led and implemented various safety programs throughout the organization and assisted in projects to achieve safety improvement and mind-set change among stakeholders.
Using his extensive knowledge of access equipment and experience within the ASEAN market, Daniel supports stakeholders and members at all levels as they strive to improve standards and the safe use of aluminium towers and ladders to reduce accidents and fatalities within the workplace.
Between 1990 to 2015, Mr Ng served as the regional business development director of Harsco Infrastructure Pte Ltd and assisted in the business development and management aspects of the business. Holds an honours degree in Bachelor of Civil Engineering and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 1989 and 1990 respectively.
Mr. Bhupendra Singh Baliyan, has over 25 years of HSE experience and served on various HSE committees and organisation and represent in various Spring Singapore standards as working group member such as SS 617: 2016 Code of practice for the lifting of persons in work platforms suspended from cranes and SSEN 131:2019 Ladders.
Starting out as an Operations Technician, Andy commenced his career at Jurong Port Universal Terminal Pte Ltd (JPUT) and is currently leading the HSE department of the terminal. Located on Jurong Island, Singapore, JPUT is one of the largest independent petroleum storage terminals in Asia Pacific owned by Jurong Port Pte Ltd, MAIF Investments Singapore Pte Ltd and PetroChina International (Singapore) Pte Ltd. It offers 2.33 million cubic metres of storage capacity, 78 storage tanks and 15 jetties, of which 2 can berth fully laden VLCCs.
With his experience, Andy will be sharing how JPUT prevent and mitigate falling into sea hazards.
Steven Tan has more than 20 years of experience in various industries which includes metalworking, manufacturing, shipbuilding, ship repairs, logistics and warehousing. He has experience managing and supporting HSE Management System for the past years. Steven is currently appointed as Senior Director for Contract Logistics and Corporate Functions and he has excelled by attaining the WSH Innovative Award in 2016 and consecutively achieved the RoSPA Award for the past 5 years. Besides, he is also the Honorary Chairman of Bedok Safety Group which is a voluntary non-profit work group which comprise of 14 members of companies where the main objective is to promote Safety and Health.
Sunny has over 30 years of combined experience across various industries (Manufacturing, Aerospace, Aviation, Waste Management & Military) in the field of Occupational Health & Safety, Operations and Projects, Facilities Management, Waste Reduction Program, Machine Maintenance Program, as well as Training and Auditing.
Shawn is the Product Manager at Syspex Technologies Pte Ltd. with 10 years of experience in building construction, construction and warehouse equipment. He also has a Diploma in Sales and Marketing and as a Syspeer, he strongly believes in helping all their customers build a safer and more sustainable world with innovation solutions. Most of their customer find that focusing on safety is more cost-effective than compensating employees for injury or death.
