Event Details

Given the widespread adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) and EV charging stations across Singapore, it has become increasingly crucial for Safety Professionals, Facility Managers, Building Owners, EV Owners, FSM Managers and the public to possess a deep understanding of EV technology and associated safety measures, particularly in the event of fire or emergencies.


This online workshop will cover essential topics such as EV & charging system characteristics, EV & charging system operations, potential hazards, risk assessment methodologies, emergency planning, strategies for extinguishing EV fires, mitigating risks, and ensuring the safety of responders and bystanders.


Please note that upon successful completion of the workshop, attendees will be awarded an electronic copy of the "Certificate of Achievement in Electric Vehicle & Charging System Safety and Risk Management".

    Treasurer and Co-Founder of Electric Vehicle Association of Singapore (EVAS)

    Terence is the E-Mobility Solutions Manager for Shell Mobility Asia, where he enjoys pathfinding, pioneering, and collaborating to accelerate the energy transition journey for Singapore and the greater ASEAN region.

    Terence also serves as the Treasurer and co-founder of the Electric Vehicle Association of Singapore (EVAS). Founded in 2018, the Association is a not-for-profit organization that comprehensively represents the EV industry and advocates for electric mobility in Singapore.

    In addition to his work in E-mobility, he has a keen interest in sustainable development, circular economies, low-carbon technologies, and other nature-based solutions. He is passionate about leveraging these approaches to address the climate crisis and ensure a better world for future generations.

    Andy's career spanned over 18 years in Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and had conducted 12 conference talks on fire investigation case studies, to a total of about 15000 fire safety managers and industrial experts. He had administered and facilitated the learning of more than 40 dedicated fire investigation (FI) courses for SCDF frontline leaders, forensic investigation units from the Singapore Police Force, Ministry of Manpower and international participants such as the fire investigators from Macau Fire Services Bureau and Hong Kong Fire Services Department.
    As an FI practitioner and trainer, he had also been frequently invited to give FI lectures to Singapore Aviation Academy’s Fire Investigation workshop.

    After becoming a National EV Safety Specialist in Apr 2023, he has had various engagements regarding EV safety, such as being featured in Lianhe Zaobao and conducting 1-day EV safety on lithium battery hazard/risk assessment; and EV maintenance procedure under Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore.
